Dear Participants,
we are grateful that you have choosen our satellite meeting here in Florence. The Organisation Team is really proud that could hold this conference in the ‘Istituto degli Innocenti’, which has been working for nearly six centuries on behalf of the family and the child. Ms. Alessandra Maggi , the President of the Institute, talked about the history and function of the building and institution. There is also a library that covers all aspects of child care and needs.
Welcome and Introduction took place at 14 and we are thankful to Margaret Graham and Anna Maria Tammaro who gave details about the agenda.
We appreciate that Professor Robert Hayes gave a lecture as Keynote Speaker on ‘Library functions in national information economies”.
